END OF THE TRAIL FARMS....
Our horses are primarily used for trail riding, local open shows & Buckle Series (Barrel Racing). We have a little bit of everything ranging from common breeds such as Paints & Quarter Horses to a Virginia Highlander, Bashkir Cross & Araloosa. We do not breed, there are too many out there needing homes to make more. Even a few of ours came from bad situations and have found a forever home here with us.
(ATTENTION): Due to many inquiries I would like to make it clear that we DO NOT offer guided trail rides or rent any of our animals our for any reason. If you are looking for such the best local place I know of is The New River Trail located off of I77 in Max Meadows VA.
We are a small family owned farm located along the Blue Ridge Parkway in Southwest VA. Even though our horses out number the cattle by a small margin our main focus here is raising quality Scottish Highland Cattle. All of which are registered with the American Highland Cattle Ass.. We keep a nice combination of conformation and genetics with the intent of producing quality beef cattle that we personally use for our own beef as it is a leaner healthier beef not to mention the comforting fact of knowing where it originated. This also means we will rarely have any bull calves for sale, so if you are in the market for one of our boys speak up early before he becomes an entrée. Please visit the "Scottish Highlands" page for more information on our herd, what is available & breeding info as normally we will stand our bulls out to the public (live cover only). While browsing you will also notice our Jersey "Lulu" she is our only non-highland cow on the farm and makes for a great family milk cow.
Some of Our Neighbors...
